IN Diplomacy Expands Philippines Coverage with Ambassador Macaraig

Sun Media Editor-in-Chief Ms Nomita Dhar paid a courtesy call on H.E. Medardo G. Macaraig, Ambassador of the Philippines to Singapore, to launch an expanded year of Philippines-focused coverage. Ambassador Macaraig presented his book Making a Mark in the Little Red Dot, marking the start of deeper collaboration on diplomatic and regional affairs reporting.

SICCI and SMF Celebrate 60 Years with Sun Media Book Launch

At the SG60 Fireside Chat and Gala Dinner, the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Singapore Manufacturing Federation jointly commemorated six decades of enterprise-driven nation-building. The evening, graced by Guest-of Honour Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of Singapore, featured the launch of Unity in Diversity, Strength in Business, published by Sun Media.

JANUARY 2025

Thailand and Singapore Mark 60 Years of Diplomatic Ties

Sun Media partnered with the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore as the editorial voice for a year-long programme commemorating 60 years of Thailand and Singapore diplomatic relations. The collaboration was confirmed in a meeting between Ms Nomita Dhar and Thailand Ambassador H.E. Ureerat Chareontoh, opening a year of cultural showcases, economic dialogues and high-level engagements.

Malaysia 67th National Day and 61st Malaysia Day Reception

Sun Media joined the diplomatic community at the Grand Hyatt Singapore for the official Reception hosted by H.E. The evening brought together the Malaysian community, diplomats and prominent figures to celebrate two of Malaysia’s most significant national milestones.

Launch of Singapore's Orchid Diplomacy Book

Sun Media covered the launch of Singapore’s Orchid Diplomacy by Mr Koh Buck Song, officiated by Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister. The book celebrates one of Singapore’s most distinctive diplomatic traditions and was attended by senior diplomats from across the international community.
